After the third successful bloggers and brands event held at Jump Street on Thursday 28 June, we thought it was only appropriate to introduce you to some of our lovely Essex bloggers who are part of the South East Bloggers Club Network!

Meet Gemma!

“Hi, I’m Gemma, I’m 24 and I live in Essex – welcome to my blogging story.

I first started blogging about 3 years ago for a number of reasons. I wanted to make new friends, I used to be a very shy and unconfident person which affected me quite badly. It stopped me from making friends and pushing me outside my comfort zone. Blogging has really helped this. I have now made a handful of  ‘online friends’ who I can actually call my real friends.

It’s made me push myself outside my comfort zone to go and meet them and we all got on so well. Meeting friends online, who have the same interests as me, has really boosted my confidence and made me grow as a person.

This was my main reason for starting to blog and I am so glad I made the step in starting – it has changed my life and who I am. I love blogging, it makes me so happy. When I write posts I always have a huge smile on my face and they are great to look back on when I am writing about personal lifestyle experiences.

I also have a real passion for photography, I’ll take a picture of anything! So, blogging is also a great way for me, almost an excuse, to take lots of pretty photos, and I love it.

Blogging has truly changed my life, and I don’t think I will ever want to stop doing it.”

Meet Lauren!

“I started blogging four years ago when I moved to London, and I actually started a blog to document my fashion modelling! As I started networking in the industry, I found myself getting invites to fashion shows and subsequently blogger events which is when I realised the huge potential my blog had as a ‘London lifestyle’ blog. I was incredibly lucky to work in the city by day and attend many blog events by night and pretty soon my schedule was full for the month ahead.

About a year and a half into my blogging journey, I made the tough (and best) decision to leave my job working for a magazine to focus solely on my blog work. My passion for working with like-minded brands has really been a huge success and I’ve never had a week off, not even when I gave birth last year!

If I could describe my blog quickly to you, I would say it’s got an elegant style with a unique story behind every post. I blog because I love to, and I don’t think that will ever change.

You’ll find me across all social media as ‘Saharasplash’. I love to connect with other bloggers so drop me a DM and say hey 👋🏻”
